By Ted Grussing… by the beauty that surrounded me this morning … my first flight in Mariah for a long time was nothing short of remarkable and reminded me of the shoot that the Loon gave me in Northern Wisconsin just a couple of weeks ago. I took off, and began climbing through spaces in the clouds whilst heading north to the Peaks. Sedona AZ (October 10, 2018) – On October 3, 2018, just before 2PM, a 38-year-old woman from Rimrock called YCSO dispatchers to report being stranded while hiking on Bell Rock, Sedona. She had been hiking since 9:30 AM and decided to become ‘adventurous’ by going off trail and up the mountain eventually reaching a point where she could no longer continue. Not feeling safe to go back down the way she came as it was too steep, she smartly called for help. Fortunately, YCSO dispatchers were able to capture GPS coordinates as she was unable to adequately explain her whereabouts.

Camp Verde AZ (October 10, 2018) – Join us for the annual celebration at Fort Verde State Historic Park! Fort Verde Days honors the history of the area and the preservation of past traditions.Special presentations show the history of Fort Verde, along with period reenactments of the Indian Wars, in traditional Buffalo soldier uniforms.
