Sedona AZ (July 16, 2021) – Sedona Fire District (SFD) will lift all fire restrictions previously in effect for all portions of the fire district effective Friday, July 16, 2021 at 06:00 am. This move is in coordination with Coconino County, Coconino National Forest, and Kaibab National Forest. Flagstaff AZ (July 16, 2021) – In response to the heavy rainfall resulting in severe flash floods, the Arizona Community Foundation of Flagstaff has activated the Flagstaff Flash Flood Disaster Relief Fund. ACF has seeded the fund with $10,000 to support recovery and rebuilding efforts.The fund will address post-flood recovery, repair, and community rebuilding efforts. These needs may include environmental and infrastructure projects, community clean-up, support for displaced families, animal, and/or rehabilitation and rebuilding of damaged buildings or homes resulting from the flash floods.

Flagstaff AZ (July 15, 2021) – Due to monsoonal activity and heavy rainfall across most of the forests, the Coconino and Kaibab National Forests will rescind all fire restrictions as of 6 a.m. Friday, July 16. The Kaibab NF will also lift the Bill Williams Mountain closure.Fire danger remains high across both forests. Visitors are still asked to remain vigilant and avoid activities that could accidentally cause wildfires – refrain from campfires on dry and windy days and remember that it is always illegal to leave a campfire unattended. In addition, fireworks are never allowed on any National Forest land.
Flagstaff/Sedona AZ (July 15, 2021) Monsoon rains Wednesday wreaked havoc in Flagstaff and some parts of Sedona yesterday, causing flash flooding in certain areas. While some streets were flooded in Sedona, the rain hit Flagstaff hard, causing flash flooding in some neighborhoods. A woman in Flagstaff filmed a flash flood carrying away a car in fromt of her house during the deluge.
