    Arts Academy of Sedona Presents Friday Night At The Theater Celebrating America

    Arts Academy of SedonaSedona News – Arts Academy of Sedona presents Friday Night at the Theater on July 15, 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Arts Academy of Sedona in The Collective Sedona located at 7000 SR-179, Suite C-100 in the Village of Oak Creek. 

    This cabaret-style event will feature music, dance, recitation and drama from a variety of local artists. Entertainment slated for this month includes Musicians, Linda Damita and Nathan Trujillo, Bob Grogan, Shaeri Richards, The Village Troubadours: Jashan and Chantal, Gary Ever, Dancers, Cassie Mavis, Poets and Performers, Melinda, McElroy, Gary Scott, Matt Egan, Craig Schneider, Michael Steel and Camilla Ross.  

    If you’d like to enjoy some local eats during the performances, order dinner from Rotten Johnny’s Pizza. https://www.rottenjohnnys.com or Dellepiane’s Burgers http://www.dellepianeburger.com and pick it up before the show. Be sure to place your order by 6 p.m. so it will be ready in time.

But if you are in the mood to wallow in darkness and self-pity, read on. Baby Boomers, what happened? Has time so betrayed us, now, that we are but a decade or two away from finishing our stay here on this planet? What happened to those of us who grew our hair, protested against the unjust wars of our time and dominated three decades with the best music ever made and played? Looking back at videos of us at concerts, rocking to the Beatles, Stones, Yes, Prince, The Who, Metallica, Cream, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Beach Boys, Kiss, etc., we look at ourselves and we are fat, old, or bald. Sickness racks us. Body parts are failing, and we are getting closer and closer to our expiration date. We had dreams. We thought we would bring peace to the world. We marched in great numbers on Washington against the killing war in Viet Nam. We wanted to bring an end to evil. And we failed. Miserably. Read more→
