With a Congressional change coming up in 2019 and “mad dog get rid of Trump” Democrats in control, who have an objective to address and then stop global warming, we could be headed for serious problems with or unacceptable solutions to global warming.

The reason why is simply that some very important facts are missing. Probably about 50% of them! That absence is not an excuse to ignore the real damage to our planet from the increased temperatures. It does though say we must know what we’re doing and have complete and accurate data before we go forwards with programs solving the global warming problem.

What’s missing is the measurement of sun energy focused upon the earth which translates to cause the heating. No” expert ” from either side of the issue is providing any information that is reliable about those heat amounts depositing on the Earth. The content of CO2, an insulator, in the atmosphere which traps the heat can be measured. But it’s only one side of the equation leading to determine how to stop the overheating problems. Heat from the sun is the other side in the problem.

The reports about global warming we receive are often in conflict and contested by the experts. Facts reported are not reliable. For instance the North pole area is getting warmer along with an ice cap melt while the glaciers in southern Argentina and the South pole ice cap are growing in size. This factual disparity raises a serious question about the accuracy of too many of the claims being made.

Any believable solution to the problem without measuring for the sun’s heat input leaves us short handed with only wild and even hysterical suggestions for how to solve the problem. Compound this with the self serving pronouncements from politicians and we have even worse prospects to correct the situation.

The sun’s record of emissions is known to be uneven with irregular outbursts ( storms ) of heat loaded emissions readily observed but the resulting effect of their impact on us is not being measured say in terms of BTUs nor being factored into the solution. Absorbing capacity of the sun’s heat is considerably different for solid ground and for water as are the adjacent temperatures just above these surfaces. So. if the heat impacting our planet changes conditions here on the Earth ( just as it does to the other solar system planets with no factories spewing out CO2 loaded fumes out there – Jupiter red spot is enlarging and Martian polar ice cap is melting away ) that makes it a solar system issue and not one just only affecting the earth. What is happening elsewhere in the solar system without CO2 from man and his factories and automobiles means CO2 is not the sole factor in creating the earth’s global warming.. Because this important sun heat emitting data is unavailable our current set of solutions to control global warming is handicapped and can only be described at best as partially effective or at worst dead wrong and possibly involving unintended consequences.

The Earth has had cooling and heating periods. Doubting this means that the Ice Age never existed.

Finding the missing data link is an absolute necessity. Solving our warming problem without complete information is a futile and rash action. If you do not understand all the component factors which cause our global warming problem there’s little chance you’ll find a good solution to stop global warming

We better get real, ignore the “expert noises “, to then get on with a thoroughly researched workable program which defines all the causes and then solve the problem, if one is available.

Better not take a position that you do or don’t support global warming programs for solving the heating problem because chances could well be that your choice may be absolutely wrong.

So, your statement of opinion on how to solve the global warming problem has to be, ” I sure don’t know. “.

Interesting… Yes, it would help to have ALL the data to find solutions to what we’re in. Meanwhile, humans have upped the CO2 level enormously. I cannot imagine that lowering greenhouse gasses wouldn’t help seeing as they are part of the reason our planet is warming at an alarming rate.

“mad dog get rid of Trump” Democrats” ?
      Really?

What does politics have to do with anything? With this statement you’ve undercut your credibility by about 90%

Are you suggesting we do nothing? Or do nothing until ALL the data is in, even tho it may take 20 years to figure out why the solar system is changing.

Or is this some idiot defense of Trumps anti environment policy?

    2. johnroberts on December 24, 2018 9:45 pm

Peggy, politics entered because they chose to. I voted against Donald.

No, let’s do what we can to reduce CO2 blocking the escape of heat. But you must also recognize that it also stops the entry of heat as an insulation..

You seem to want to ignore the cycles from millions of past earth years and that means you are possibly using blinders. Have you an open or closed mind. Can’t tell.

The only message was to recognize that CO2 is not the sole contribution to the global warming which we have. Hope this got through to you. If not you are out there dangling in empty space with a bunch of know nothings.

      John.

Peggy, do you understand that CO2 is not the sole cause for our global warming ?. From your comments I doubt you do. That is the only message in my letter to Sedona.biz.so I suggest you study the facts presented or ask someone who has knowledge of what is going on in the solar system and here also on earth.

It’s interesting and should be noted that the earth is 4.2 BILLION years old and although man is here now and doing things he is the last 1/64th of an inch on the 100 yard geological time line.

According to recent NASA satellite data the green part if the planet is expanding. Why? Pants love CO2. That’s why you can buy CO2 generators for green houses.

Also, historical data shows CO2 in the atmosphere does not track global temperatures. Sorry to dissapoint. Max CO2 in our history has been about 2800 PPM, and the earth was greenest. Today it is about 400ppm. And animal life was abundant. Where do you think today’s oil comes from? Mother earth is still making oil.

The Jurassic and Crataceous periods had the highest C02 and the earth exploded with flora and fauna…big fauna. 100 to 250 Million years ago.

Avg global temperature today about 14c, 80 million years ago it was 25c. Warm is good.

People are now part of the planet. That’s the equation that is mostly left out. More people die of cold than warm. More people are fed when it is warm.

Technology and energy, cheap energy, keeps the planet cleaner and people healthier.

Humans are arrogant. They think that mother nature can’t kick us off this rock any time she wants.

Let’s be honest, this is not about CO2 , it is about religion.
The T party religious right do not believe man can change Gods plan.
They will support sicence that gets a rocket to the moon, but not the sicence of climate change.
talking to people like !ike Mike on CO2 Is talking religon, all beliefs no facts,
A big wast of time , it is a T party party issue.
At a town hall in Michigan last May, Republican Rep. Tim Walberg assured his constituents that, while the climate may be changing, they don’t need to be concerned. “As a Christian, I believe that there is a creator in God who is much bigger than us,” he told them. “And I’m confident that, if there’s a real problem, He can take care of it.”
This idea—that whatever happens in God’s creation happens with His blessing—has deep roots in the American evangelical community, especially among the elite fundamentalists and the T party, as we all know Mike is a founding member of the Sedona T party , I rest my case.

I cover the international renewable energy sector, especially solar.
Two 500MW solar power plants were connected to the grid in China on Saturday with one of them boasting a very special landmark.

One of the projects in Golmud and developed by the China Three Gorges Group, will sell its power for 0.316 yuan per kWh, around five U.S. cents. That is less than the 0.325 yuan benchmark price for coal power in the country, according to the Chinese state news outlet Xinhua.

Both projects were part of a demonstration programme in the Mongolian-Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Haixi and will be managed directly by the National Energy Administration (NEA), the government body responsible for developing and delivering energy policy. The terms of the programme dictate that leading edge components must be used throughout to act as a catalyst for emerging technology. It is widely expected that the programme will expand in scope and scale.

    We Have Been Thoroughly Trained!
    By Amaya Gayle Gregory

Throughout the years, we have been trained. Part of the training is to see others as trained, but not ourselves. Even though we are the others that others are trained to see as trained, we tend to miss that little nuance. The training says we must know what’s right and speak out when we see something that runs contrary to our understanding of rightness. We don’t stop to realize that what we see as right isn’t exactly right or it would be the right version that everyone in their right mind knew as right. There are billions of versions of right but ours is the only real right one. Seems fishy, doesn’t it? We spend our days, our lives, catching others — the wrong ones — doing and saying things in support of their versions of right and our training has us jumping on the critical bandwagon lest we be painted in support of the wrong right. What in this crazy world moves us with such amazing force to crave rightness, to need to be seen as right? Read more→
