City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (June 8, 2018) – Build a better business. Learn from local experts. Sedona residents who want to know what’s brewing in small business should come to a summer Small Business Coffee talk.

Each month the city hosts experts for relaxed education and dialog on topics designed to help you build and improve your business skills.

“The Coffee Talks are becoming increasingly popular,” says Economic Development Director Molly Spangler. “Attendance has increased over each of the last three we hosted in winter and spring. Business owners appreciate the opportunity to do a little networking on top of the learning.”

The lineup of experts for June, July and August:

June 26 – Emily Griffin, CPA, 25 years in business accounting with extensive knowledge of business tax laws. Owner of Desert Foothills Accounting and Tax. Topic: Why do balance sheets and profit/loss statements matter?

July 24 – Kathie Teal, small business analyst for the Small Business Development Center of the Verde Valley, 30 years in business ownership and management. Topic: LivePlan, an online business planning tool.

    Sedona Gift Shop

Aug. 28 – Chris Doyle, commercial banker and business financing expert with Wells Fargo and Capital Creation Committee member of the Verde Valley Regional Economic Organization. Topic: Are you ready for business? Understand cash flow, start-up costs and how to acquire funding.
