Clarkdale AZ (April 12, 2018) – Contra Dance in Clarkdale features live band Under the Bridge on Saturday, April 21st. Sonja Whisman and Rhonda Hotop are on fiery fiddles fueled by Ron Barton on his galvanizing, toe-tapping guitar. Michael Barraclough will teach and call each dance.
Enjoy the beautiful wood dance floor of the Clark Memorial Clubhouse (auditorium) in the Clarkdale Town complex, 19 N. 9th St. at 9th and Main streets. If you can walk, you can contra!
No partner or experience is necessary. Dress in comfortable clothes you can move in.
Come at 6:30 PM for the half hour lesson and then dance until 10PM. Bring a snack to share if possible. Meet new friends, get a good workout and have some fun. See contra dance examples on Youtube.
Donation is $10 per dancer and $7 for students.
