    City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (September 29, 2017) – Sedona residents and visitors are invited to join the Sedona Police Department in celebrating National Night Out on Saturday, Oct. 7, 3-5 p.m. with safety presentations and a free community picnic at Posse Grounds Park, 525 Posse Ground Rd.

    National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness and strengthen police-community partnerships.   

    Free hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and water donated by Sedona merchants will be available and SPD and its partnering agencies will have information available on a wide range of public safety topics. Everyone is welcome at this family event to see the latest in law enforcement, firefighting, safety and rescue equipment, learn ways to make our homes and streets safer and meet public safety officials.

    Sedona’s celebration is hosted by the Sedona Police Department with support from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Sedona Fire District, Arizona Rangers, Arizona Attorney General’s Office and Sedona Food Bank. The event is being organized by the Sedona Police Volunteers.

      Only in Sedona would National Night Out be scheduled in the middle of the afternoon.

      Keep those 9-5 working folk away but we retirees can have a free lunch and be in bed before sunset.;>) Thanks
