    Election Information for August 30 Primary Election

    logo_leagueofwomenvotersVerde Valley AZ (August 4, 2016) – Arizona Primary Election on August 30 begins with Early Voting Ballots being mailed out beginning August 3.  If you do not receive your early ballot within the next week, please call your county elections office to request your early ballot. Phone number for Yavapai County Registrar of Voters is Phone: (928) 771-3248 and Coconino County Recorder at 800.793.6181.

    If you are a “non-designated/independent” voter – YOU CAN VOTE – in the primary election.  For early ballot voters, please call your county election office to request a mail-in ballot by August 19.  And for those who go to the polls on Election Day, just ask the poll worker for the party ballot of your choice!  It is simple and easy to do.

    Over the past few weeks, the League of Women Voters Greater Verde Valley held forums for many of the contested races.  Here is a list of forums that you can watch on YouTube to better find out about the candidates and issues on the August 30 Primary Ballot:

    It is important that ALL registered voters VOTE in this primary election especially “non-designated/independent” voters!  A number of races will be decided in this election – local town/city councils and mayors, county supervisor, county assessor, county constable along with ballot measures in Camp Verde, Clarkdale, and Jerome.
