Sedona AZ (October 20, 2015) – Over 70% of Americans want money out of politics, term limits for our elected officials, a balanced budget, equal rights for women and reductions in greenhouse gas emissions—and yet Congress seems unable to act on any of these issues! So, the only legal option outside of voting them all out of office – is to amend the U.S. Constitution.
The League of Women Voters of Greater Verde Valley and The People’s Convention presents a lively and entertaining exploration into proposals to strengthen our American democratic process – “Constitutional Amendment Boot Camp”. The event will be held on Thursday, November 12 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Sedona Public Library, 3250 White Bear Rd, Sedona.

The purpose of The People’s Convention is to provide the American people with an effective, fair, honest and respectful opportunity to upgrade and strengthen their democracy by amending the constitution.
The mission of the League of Women Voters is to encourage the informed and active participation of citizens in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
