    KSB Announces Awards of Excellence Recipients

    logo_ksbSedona AZ (December 17, 2014) – The KSB Awards Committee proudly announces the winners of its 43rd Annual Awards of Excellence.

    An annual event since KSB’s inception, the Awards of Excellence recognize community organizations and businesses whose activities have most contributed to the spirit of keeping Sedona beautiful without compromising future needs.

    Winners will be honored at a special Keep Sedona Beautiful (KSB) celebration luncheon on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Los Abrigados Resort.  Space is limited and by reservation only.  Individual luncheon tickets are $30 for KSB members, $35 for non-members, and a table for 10 is $325.

    The doors will open at 11:00 a.m.

    Purchase tickets by contacting the KSB office at 282-4938 or by email at ksb@esedona.net.  Please RSVP no later than January 15.

    Sedona Gift Shop

    A waiting list will be used to accommodate late reservations.

    The KSB Awards Committee and Board of Trustees gave special consideration to activities that conserve the environment and minimize the human footprint.  These include innovations in environmentally-sensitive buildings, low water-use conservation, community service and the use of alternate energy sources.

    The KSB 43rd. Annual Awards of Excellence recipients are:

    • BAER (Burned Area Emergency Response Team) Slide Fire, U.S. Forest Service -Environmental Stewardship
    • Sedona Fire District, Chapel Station – Architectural Design
    • City of Cottonwood- Reclaimed Wastewater System – Conservation
    • Friends of the Forest (FOF) – Community Service
    • City of Sedona, International Dark Sky Community – Environmental Stewardship
    • Tom O’Halleran – Keep Sedona Beautiful Norman McGee Award
    • Joan McClelland – A Tribute to an outstanding citizen
    • Jody M. Smith, Jody Smith Designs – President’s Volunteer Award
