Sedona AZ (July 11, 2014) – “My name is Bootsie! I am super handsome and affectionate. I love to play with toys, and snuggle up, too! I am FIV+ so I need an FIV+ household, or to be an only cat. Do you have a special heart, for a special kitty?”

Bootsie is a 3 year old Tuxedo neutered male. Although he is FIV+ and needs to be your only cat or live with other FIV+ cats, he is happy and healthy. Many cats with FIV live long lives. In itself, FIV is not serious but it does weaken a cat’s immune system so you will need to watch your cat’s health, keep them inside and maintain regular check ups with your vet. FIV is not contagious, is a virus that only affects cats and can only be transmitted through a cat bite to another cat. That is why we recommend they go to a home with other FIV+ cats or be your one and only.
