Arizona News – The Citizens Water Advocacy Group (CWAG) will host its 22nd Annual Members Meeting on January 11. The meeting is designed to inform CWAG members about projects planned for 2025 and to seek member suggestions on future projects and programs. The agenda includes a short business meeting followed by a presentation on 2025 projects and a review of current water issues. There is time allotted for questions and discussion. Lunch will follow the presentation.

Some of the issues we’ll be working on in 2025:

    • SRP/COP/PV Big Chino model release
    • Renewal of Prescott’s Designation of Assured Water Supply (affects Prescott Valley, too)
    • Water quality (PFAS remediation and more)
    • Alternatives to the proposed Big Chino pipeline
    • Prescott’s long-term water management plan
    • Conservation efforts at the state, county, and local level

This will be a hybrid meeting: in person and on Zoom. To attend in-person, join us at the Granite Peak Unitarian Congregation building at 882 Sunset, Prescott (2 blocks west of True Value).  The presentation will start at 10 a.m. There will be coffee and snacks at 9:45 a.m. for informal conversations before the program, and lunch will follow at 12 noon. Individuals wishing to view the presentation via Zoom can register at the “Next Event” link at www.cwagaz.org. Questions/comments? Email us at info@cwagaz.org or call 928-445-4218.
