Sedona News – The city of Sedona and their contractor, Cactus Asphalt, will begin the Soldiers Pass Road Pavement Rehabilitation Project on Oct. 25, 2024 in order to extend pavement life and improve road quality.
The project consists of crack seal operations along Soldiers Pass Road, from St. John Vianney Lane to Shadow Rock Drive, and the removal and replacement of the asphalt pavement along Soldiers Pass Road between State Route (SR) 89A and St. John Vianney Lane.
Preparation work will begin on Friday, Oct. 25, with crack seal operations taking place the week of Oct. 28. No road closures are anticipated for crack sealing, however, please be aware of flagging operations along Soldiers Pass Road during this work.
The removal and replacement of the asphalt between SR 89A and St. John Vianney Lane is scheduled to occur in mid-November. A detailed door hanger notification will be delivered to those affected prior to this work commencing. The door hanger will include information regarding the associated access, work hours and impacts. Please be aware of temporary street closures, lane restrictions, reduced speeds, rough road conditions, loud noise and flagging operations throughout the work zone during asphalt removal and replacement work. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained, however, temporary restrictions will occur.
This project is scheduled for completion in November 2024. The city is dedicated to keeping the traveling public, businesses and residents informed of potential construction impacts throughout the project.
