Camp Verde News – Camp Verde is not immune to the national drug epidemic, our location within the state presents an opportunity for narcotics to be moved through our area regularly. Over the past year we have seen a rise in fentanyl arrests including other dangerous drugs. We rely heavily upon our local narcotics team, our K9 drug program, well-educated officers and most of all citizens who report suspicious activity to us. If it looks suspicious, please report by calling 911. As you can see from the recent reports below, these drugs do not discriminate when it comes to changing lives.

Camp Verde, Ariz. • January 25th A 39-year-old Female subject was caught smoking Fentanyl inside her vehicle in the Bashas parking lot with her 6-year-old child inside the car. She also was in possession of 200 Fentanyl pills and 1.7 grams of Methamphetamine. Booked into jail on multiple felony charges.
January 25th, in the evening hours, 3 male subjects were observed by a citizen conducting what looked like a drug transaction in a local parking lot in Camp Verde. Upon Deputies arrival, K9 Gunner was deployed and gave a positive alert on one of the vehicles involved. Over 750 Fentanyl pills and a usable amount of methamphetamine were located. All three of the male subjects were arrested and booked into the Yavapai County jail on Felony drug charges
January 26th, A 29-year-old female who overdosed on Fentanyl, Narcan was administered, CPR was administered, unfortunately subject did not survive.
January 25th, A 55-year-old male who overdosed on Fentanyl, Narcan was administered by a family member prior to LE arrival which likely saved his life. He was transported to the hospital.
January 26th, Camp Verde Marshals Deputies responded to a single vehicle collision on General Crook trail near the I-17; He later admitted to ingesting Fentanyl. The drug was also found in his possession. He was booked on felony drug charges as well as the DUI drugs.
