Twice Nice Fall Thrifty set for Oct. 3 in Camp Verde

SEDONA, Ariz. — Easter weekend in Sedona was a hopping place with the famous egg hunt at Posse Grounds Park, giant rubber duckies randomly popping up across town and the second annual Twice Nice Spring Thrifty available to community members looking to listen to good music, have some food and donate some thrift store items for a cause.

The second annual event was held April 4 and store manager Alicia Henson said it “went well.”

“It was great to see everything come together smoothly and to feel that same strong support from our community,” Henson said. “Events like this continue to show how reliable and generous our community is.”

While the turnout and donations were similar to 2025, when Verde Valley Sanctuary first hosted this event, Henson said they felt much more prepared.“Everything ran smoothly, from setup to sorting of donations, to wrapping up the event,” Henson said. “This made the experience better for everyone involved. It was great to see that growth behind the scenes.”

Henson thanked the community for supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence, which has been the main focus of Verde Valley Sanctuary since its inception in 1993.

“Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Spring Thrifty. Whether you donated, volunteered, or stopped by, your support means everything,” Henson said.

The Twice Nice Thriftique in Sedona offered a 50% off day during the Spring Thrifty event, yet still saw a record day, nearly tripling their average sales numbers for a Saturday in the spring. Food trucks like Loquita Cocina, Cheeky Kiwi and Blackhawk Coffee offered great food and drinks for people who stuck around to watch sister duo Gracie and Tivona Moskoff play their tunes as Kaleidoscope Redrocks.

The band even donated their tips back to Verde Valley Sanctuary after the event.

“We appreciate all of our vendors including Loquita Cocina, Cheeky Kiwi, Blackhawk Coffee, and our entertainment for the day with 105.7 FM joining us for a live remote radio visit and of course, Kaleidoscope Redrocks,” Verde Valley Sanctuary Development and Communications Director Brian Bergner said. “We appreciate everyone in the community who supported this event, and our missio

Bergner stated that Verde Valley Sanctuary plans to host the Twice Nice Fall Thrifty at the agency’s other thrift store location at 527 S. Main St. in Camp Verde on Saturday, Oct. 3. The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Yavapai Broadcasting on hand to do a live remote in the morning and Kaleidoscope Redrocks to perform in the afternoon.

Food truck vendors have yet to be announced. If interested, please reach out to Bergner at 928-821-9409, or email Brian@VerdeValleySanctuary.org.
