Cottonwood AZ (February 23, 2016) – Early this morning, February 23 approximately 2:50am the Verde Valley Fire District responded to 89A at mile post 359 for a report of debris on the roadway and taillights can be seen off the roadway in the brush.
Crews arrived to discover the vehicle was involved in a single vehicle rollover accident with one trapped occupant, the driver.
Crews from station 31 and 32 made patient contact and started treatment to stabilize while the other crew had the challenge of extricating the patient. The patient sustained multiple injuries.
Once the patient was extricated and injuries treated the patient was carried to the roadway to an awaiting Guardian Air Medical Helicopter.
The vehicle hazards were secured and the patient was transported to Flagstaff Medical Center.
