Verde Valley News – In partnership with C. Eaton Photography, Verde Valley Sanctuary is excited to announce its inaugural Pet Calendar Contest for 2026.

20250411 PetCalendarContestFlyerLaunching March 29, registration is now open, with $5 per entry, and $1 per vote. Those interested have until April 30 to submit their favorite pet photos, and vote on their favorites to be one of 13 winners to make it in the calendar. The pet with the most votes will receive the cover!

Entrants are encouraged to submit a photo of their favorite pet, then ask family, friends, and co-workers to vote. Proceeds from the pet photo contest and calendar sales will assist VVS in supporting survivors of domestic and sexual violence.

“I am thrilled to be bringing the Pet Calendar Contest fundraiser to the area via Verde Valley Sanctuary. The mission of this organization to help women in crisis is important and often underserved. The fact that VVS opens its arms not just to women, but their pets as well, makes this a perfect partnership,” Eaton said. “I can’t wait to see all of the entries and meet the 13 winners in May!”

Each of the 13 winning pets will receive a private photoshoot in the Verde Valley area with Eaton, which will be the photo used for the 2026 calendar. Second through 13th place winners will be featured as a pet of the month and their owners receive a free calendar. Pet owners can select their month by donating an extra $100 to the fundraiser.

“This fundraiser is a perfect chance for our friends, who may also be pet lovers, a way to support Verde Valley Sanctuary in a fun way,” Development and Communications Director Brian Bergner said. “We thank C. Eaton Photography for bringing this special fundraiser to our Verde Valley area and supporting our survivors with this project.”

In addition, for those interested in supporting VVS without entering a pet, the 2026 contest calendar will be available for $20, plus shipping.

For more information, please visit VerdeValleySanctuary.org, and click on “Pet Calendar Contest” under the “Ways to Give” tab. Interested parties can also reach out to Bergner via email at brian@verdevalleysanctuary.org, or call 928-821-9409.
