… I didn’t fly Saturday, but did go up to the airport to do a little work on Mariah. The winds were gusting to 32 kts when I checked the AWOS (Automated Weather Observing System) for Sedona Airport so spent a little time near the end of the field shooting last light on the Mitten formation. On the face of the plateau on the right side you can see Schnebly Hill road on a diagonal going up the slope. A nice place to just enjoy the beauty of the early evening and feel the force of nature on your face.
Had a nice flight this morning and going again early in the morning. There was so much haze in the air that I didn’t take a single photograph this morning; hoping for clearer skies in the morning. A fun weekend and looking forward to another beautiful week ahead.
Bought a new Alumacraft boat to put on the numerous lakes on the rim, Prescott, Lake Pleasant and other areas in Arizona and also to take with me when One and I travel to Minnesota and Wisconsin this fall. Wish I could use it now, but it has to be built and June is the earliest I will get it. Nothing fancy, but a broad beam, modified V hull with gas and electric engines … painted in camo so I can get close to wildlife. Really looking forward to the expanded shooting possibilities it will give me … life and adventure continues!
Have a beautiful day and may the day and your week be filled with joy … smile for life and most people are good.
Cheers
Ted
I am the dawn, the whisper of winds, the perfume of morning.
The passing night fondled me, hovering close to me, softly, silently.
The breaking day builds the spirit temple of my joy, I abandon myself!
I see all as one, and nothing repels me, as this new day climbs noiselessly out of the valley of the night.
Peace lies over the world and over the world of my soul.
