… even though these blooms as captured are well beyond their prime and today are long gone and returned to the soil from which they grew, the beauty that they brought into this world continues today and into the future … humans can do the same, so smile and share the beauty that is you.

The bloom above is an Echinacea that I shot on a stormy day at Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff and it was pouring forth the last of its beauty before it returned to the soil … the arrangement below was a gift to Corky from a friend and I forgot to shoot it until it was well past prime, but the beauty of flowers in their latter days placed in a smiling face vase was compelling … I had to capture the moment and it continues to radiate beauty today nearly ten years after the gift was made.

If anyone is interested in some excellent camera equipment let me know … I am selling every lens and camera body I own … five lenses, two camera bodies and two extenders and all are Canon equipment in mint condition. The reason is that I am buying all new gear, bodies, lenses and extenders, also Canon, but am making the switch to mirrorless.

Make your life such that your joy and happiness continues year after year and keep a smile on your face … like why not?

Have a beautiful day as we start a new week … very busy one coming up and it will be good!

    Cheers, and keep breathing.

To be without desire is to
be content. But contentment is not
    happiness. And in contentment
there is no progress. Happiness is
    to desire something, to work
for it, and to obtain at least a part of it.

The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols
    By Tommy Acosta
Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
