    Healing Paws

    By Ted Grussing

    I ended up making the drive to Roseville in one day covering over 800 miles and arriving at my brother in laws home at 11:22PM last night. Delivered the last van to Bill its new owner late morning and then a fun day with family and the drive back to Half Moon Bay late afternoon … a stop at Peats in HMB for lattes and then to Ted & Sus home. Annika has grown about five inches since last November and now stands at about 5’6″ … Wow!!!

    Tomorrow it is shooting some wildlife preserves , lunch and the beach late afternoon and hopefully a good sunset … the marine layer was too thick to give us a sunset tonight.

    I took this shot of the new suspension cables on the new section of the Bay Bridge as crossed back into San Francisco … do not have a tablet with me so I did not composite it; would have been fun but not without my “tools” … later when I arrive home. I love this area of the California Coast!

    Have a terrific day and enjoy the moment … help another enjoy it too … share your joy.

    Cheers

    Ted

    And lastly give sweet sleep
    Closed sight, no fright
    That fears will o’er me creep;
    And now a last goodnight.

    City Council Weighs ATV Ban Ordinance Proposal
    By Tommy Acosta
    The Sedona City Council at its May 23, 2023 meeting took no action on a proposed ordinance that would ban all off-road vehicles from being driven on state-owned public roads or streets owned by the city. The ordinance, spearheaded by Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow on the premise that such vehicles pose a risk to the health, safety and welfare of the community, would impose heavy fines to anyone driving the ATVs or OHVs on city streets, including S.R. 179 and S.R. 89A. ATV rental companies have admitted that such vehicles are not intended or designed to be driven on paved roads, yet, in Arizona, they are allowed to do so under Arizona Revised Statute 28-1174 (4B). Opponents against the ordinance argued at the meeting that if adopted the ban would cripple the ATV rental industry in Sedona and cause much hardship to the owners and employees, as it would effectively, as written, destroy their livelihood.
