By Ted Grussing
… had a terrific day, but no Photo shoot and no hard drive along to select a new shot that I have not previously used … so here is a shot of probably my all time favorite of a Great Blue Heron that was flying down a dirt road at the end of the day to roost and spend the night in safety awaiting the dawn when he will be back out in search of food.. The pastel lighting in the photo adds to the surreal nature of the image as the day winds down and the daytime creatures go quiet.
Hoping to get some shots tomorrow, but the weather may not be cooperating much, so we’ll see.
Have a terrific day and enjoy each moment … It is all we have.
Smiles
Ted
Lift my eyes from the earth, and let me not forget the uses of the stars.
Forbid that I should judge others, lest I condemn myself.
Let me not follow the clamor of the world, but walk calmly in my path.
Give me a few friends who will love me for what I am;
And keep ever burning before my vagrant steps the kindly light of hope.
