… a relatively easy choice for the photo tonight as One decried my insensitivity in only sending out the photo of Timber last night … she became very indignant and laid out in no uncertain terms the cost of not doing a photo of Abby tonight. So here is the photo of Abby a very beautiful and feminine creature. Both Timber and Abby are Australian Sheep dogs.

I had coffee with a friend this morning who told me about their Dingo/dog breed that is also supposed to be good at herding sheep. They had put the dog through numerous classes including one to teach it how to herd sheep … they discovered a major flaw in the character of the dog in that it had no interest in herding the sheep, but a very strong desire and aptitude to kill and eat them … whoops!

Hope your day was as enjoyable as it is possible to be … mine was. Another day coming up to live as best as we can. Keep breathing, smiling and sharing the joy in your life with others … always there is beauty and someone who needs you to share it with them.

    Cheers
    Ted

May kindness guide your daily steps, and in each deed and thought
Let Christ’s sweet soul always reflect itself,
And love your fellowmen as I love you.

The Sad Lesson of Tyre Nichols
    By Tommy Acosta
Having grown up in the mean streets of the Bronx there is one lesson we learn early on, and that’s don’t mess with the cops when they got you down, and outnumbered. The beating of Tyre Nichols at the hands of the police preceding his death at the hospital could have been avoided if only he had the sense to not resist them. People fail to understand that on the streets, cops are basically “God.” You can’t fight them. If it takes one, two, five, ten or twenty officers they will eventually put you down and hurt you if they have to in the process of detaining or arresting you. In the Bronx we would fight amongst ourselves but when the cops came it was “Yes, officer. No, officer,” and do our best to look as innocent as possible. People need to understand that cops on the street represent the full power of the state and government. Read more→
