… a Snowy Egret, that is … there are two types of creatures that are incredibly difficult to shoot well and they are those which are predominately black, and those that are predominately white … so, my little house predator, One and egrets top my list in these categories.
I got this shot on the last day of April along the shady side of a little bay in Lake Pleasant whilst he was busy hunting for small bait fish and crustaceans along the shore. he did quite well and after a few minutes we left him to his hunting, rather than spook him into flight. It takes a lot of energy for these creatures to fly and I seldom jump the same birds twice … at least I try not too.
I just learned that a friend of mine is not only photographing beautiful things, but is growing and selling them too. Jordon is importing, growing and selling exotic water lilies. You can look at them and contact him through his website at: https://www.
Another beautiful week underway … the plan is to live it and enjoy what life brings my way … to keep breathing and to smile. It truly is a blessing to be alive!
Cheers,
Ted
