…  I started working on a beautiful Blue Heron shot from January 2017 tonight that I shot with a backdrop of trees with  most of their leaves in fall color still attached. No matter what I did to the background the color combinations were such as made me ill to my stomach … certain color combinations do that to me, so I grabbed a rainbow shot I took in December of 2010 late afternoon when Corky and I were returning home from West Sedona. There were a lot of cars that had pulled over and were shooting the incredible rainbow in perfect light. This was shot off Chapel Road and SR 179. It would have made a good landscape shot all by itself, but I had so much time invested in the Heron shot I was not about to toss it … and it is possible that this could have occurred in real life, and did, just not at the same time or place.

A rather quiet day and One and I enjoyed a delightful day indoors as storms were rolling through the area when she normally gets her daily outing. Some work on photos and stones; currently cutting gold in white quartz from Colorado and they’re turning out very nice … then on to gem silica (Chrysacolla) before returning to opal … also made it through another eight episodes of Chuck today. So kind of a productive day, I think.

Have a beautiful day and smile … life is truly good.

    Cheers
