… and this elegant Snowy Egret is taking to flight after a powerful leap uncoiling his powerful legs and coupled with a powerful stroke of his wings and he is airborne rising above his reflection in the early morning waters of the lake.

… and in the photo below I await my tow to lift me from the runway and get me up where thermals will breathe life into my long wings on a beautiful soaring day in Sedona. This is an amazing place to soar and the lift up on the plateau is what you dream of.

Anthony Mazzella will be at the Mary Fisher Theater on Saturday at 7:30PM … join me to a new Legends of Guitar concert. Anthony’s shows tend to fill up so buy your tickets early.

Another fabulous day ended and already a couple of hours into the new one … expecting a great day; working on images, visiting with friends and re-learning the basics of Adobe In Design … I need to use it more.

Smile and enjoy the life you are granted … keep breathing too, it has been known to help you have a good day!

    Cheers,

May I not forget that poverty and
    riches are of the spirit.
Though the world know me not,
    may my thoughts and actions
be such as shall keep me friendly
    with myself.

    Chamber Effort to Target
    Affluent Tourists Derailed

    By Tommy Acosta
If you make less than $150,000 and thought of visiting Sedona you are not the target of a recently proposed marketing effort by the Sedona Chamber of Commerce, focused on luring visitors that that are affluent. A request by the chamber for the city to release $225,000 from its marketing contingency plan to be used for destination marketing targeting people with money, was torpedoed at the Sedona City Council meeting of January 24. The chamber had hoped to use the contingency funds to bring tourists to Sedona that are well heeled and willing to spend scads of money rather than focusing marketing efforts on “day trippers” who come to the city to hike or spend little more than a day here exploring, off-roading, browsing the UpTown shops and spending little cash while clogging up the roads and making it difficult for locals to get around town.
