… lift myself into the air and fly … this blue heron is expending all the power he has to propel himself into flight and the beauty of form and function are joined in this shot and I wanted to share it with you. I am going through a lot of my shot folders and finding gems like this that somehow were overlooked or before I got to it I found another one I liked and processed it and never got this far in the shoot.

We can do whatever we choose too … just a matter of making the choice and doing whatever is necessary to accomplish the task or fulfill the dream. If you have a dream, pursue it … you might not attain your goal, but for sure if you do not make the attempt, you will not achieve it. Go for it … you likely will make it.

Tomorrow night (Friday the 23rd), Louis Landon will be at Sound Bites with his trio doing a Sinatra and more concert and it will be terrific. Louis is one of those individuals who has a dream and fulfills it daily with his musical artistry. Hope to see you there. The concert begins at 7PM.

Just a little bonus for the week … have a beautiful day and weekend … Monday morning I’ll be back.

    Smiles

    Ted

For was this right that I should eat and live by that another through his toil had earned?
But one good hope then fed my hungry soul:
That I should live by what my hands could do.

    The Symbolism of Jan. 6

    By Tommy Acosta
Don’t mess with symbols. Just ask author Dan Brown’s character Robert Landon. The worth of symbols cannot be measured. Symbols make the world-go-round. Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
