    Healing Paws

… a fun weekend just past and a fresh week ahead … thinking it will be a pretty awesome week lived day by day and moment by moment.

The photo above is of a coyote at the Lake last Thursday … Eric spotted him as he was getting out of the water after swimming across the bay. We then proceeded to follow him for about a half mile as he headed along the shore and finally climbed up a large rock formation. I’ve seen him catching and eating fish, rabbits and more … looks healthy and searching for another meal, Coyotes are survivors and take whatever they can get.

Below is a shot of a Coues Whitetail deer in the backyard last week … she had an itch and was taking care of the problem the only way she knows how … I prefer the more subtle approach we use … fingers! Somehow a sharp hoof seems like overkill … she does seem to be taking care of the problem though.

An early morning so will close so I can get a little rest before the day is on the run. A very intense downpour at present … lightning and thunder … love it.

Have a beautiful day and share a smile with those you meet and greet today.

    Ted

For a few hours here in the still morning I wash myself
clean of civilization, and purge myself of things and
    the accumulated rubbish of time.

City Council Weighs ATV Ban Ordinance Proposal
    By Tommy Acosta
The Sedona City Council at its May 23, 2023 meeting took no action on a proposed ordinance that would ban all off-road vehicles from being driven on state-owned public roads or streets owned by the city. The ordinance, spearheaded by Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow on the premise that such vehicles pose a risk to the health, safety and welfare of the community, would impose heavy fines to anyone driving the ATVs or OHVs on city streets, including S.R. 179 and S.R. 89A. ATV rental companies have admitted that such vehicles are not intended or designed to be driven on paved roads, yet, in Arizona, they are allowed to do so under Arizona Revised Statute 28-1174 (4B). Opponents against the ordinance argued at the meeting that if adopted the ban would cripple the ATV rental industry in Sedona and cause much hardship to the owners and employees, as it would effectively, as written, destroy their livelihood.
