… I was not going to take any chances with getting the fourth in the series screwed up, so I enlisted the help of One to make sure that these four hen common mergansers flew. She was enthusiastic about her duties and plunged right in and got them to fly … once airborne, One didn’t have a chance at a tasty duck meal, but she gave it her very best. Not wanting to be a meal the mergansers had great incentive to move out as fast as possible … the last one came close to being a meal though.
It has been a fun series to put together and now it is into the weekend for me. Up at 4:30A to head down to Lake Pleasant … leaving at 5:30A and with any luck we’ll be on the lake by 7:30A. One is staying home as she feels as though she has earned her keep for a while. No idea what will be there in the morning, but I am anticipating some amazing shots.
Have a beautiful day and weekend … right now, is all you have … make it special!
Cheers,
Ted
