… has a place and duties to fulfill in this world … we all work or we perish … and I just love the messiness of it all as in this photo we have a tiny Honeybee burrowing into a cactus flower collecting pollen to bring back to the beehive, providing food for the colony and at the same time he is pollinating the flower which ensures that it will continue on into the future. In addition if the hive is part of a Bee Keepers operation then it instrumental in providing a very nutritious food for humans. Interesting that the Bee Keepers own the beehive boxes, but since the bees are not controlled, they are free to leave and take up residence elsewhere, so glad they mostly stay put.

A major winter storm has begun out there and over the next few days we may get as much as 19 inches of snow and high winds with it! Winter blizzard, wow! Dental appointment cancelled tomorrow, Merry Maids cancelled my Friday cleaning and not sure about school this Friday?

On the plus side I now own my first snow shovel in 51 years (bought it a month ago after another storm). A day of isolation so I will be making major progress on the book and catching up replies to emails … as always, sorry for the time it takes me to respond to your emails. Maybe I’ll try to reform myself? Naw, another day.

Time to wrap the day and for me the week. I’ll be back Monday morning with a new and fresh image … maybe a snow shot?

Cheers and keep breathing and smiling … fundamentals for a very good day!

But from the brooding beauty of the night, and daily dancing shafts of golden sun …
The mystery and wonder of the world … that play the soundless music of the soul
And fill the heart with memory’s olden dreams … From these will come at last your faith in God.

    The Symbolism of Jan. 6

    By Tommy Acosta
Don’t mess with symbols. Just ask author Dan Brown’s character Robert Landon. The worth of symbols cannot be measured. Symbols make the world-go-round. Symbols carry the weight of a thousand words and meanings. Symbols represent reality boiled down to the bone. Symbols evoke profound emotions and memories—at a very primal level of our being—often without our making rational or conscious connections. They fuel our imagination. Symbols enable us to access aspects of our existence that cannot be accessed in any other way. Symbols are used in all facets of human endeavor. One can only feel sorry for those who cannot comprehend the government’s response to the breech of the capital on January 6, with many, even pundits, claiming it was only a peaceful occupation. Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
