This special event will be led by Venerable Geshe Phuntsho, a highly respected Buddhist scholar and teacher, who will guide participants through the philosophical and practical aspects of preparing for death, navigating the Bardo – the intermediate state between life and death – and embracing rebirth with clarity and peace. The program is designed to bring comfort and understanding to those contemplating the nature of existence beyond death, and it offers wisdom from ancient Tibetan traditions that remain deeply relevant today.

“This event offers an extraordinary opportunity to explore one of life’s greatest mysteries with a revered teacher,” said Patricia Berlowe, the Director of OLLI at Yavapai College. “Participants will gain meaningful insights that can help them approach the end of life with greater awareness and tranquility.” Whether you seek personal growth, greater peace, or deeper wisdom, this program will provide valuable guidance.

The Journey Beyond: Understanding Death, Bardo & Rebirth is free to the public, but Registration is required, and space is limited, so early registration is strongly encouraged. To secure your spot, visit www.yc.edu/olliopen today.

For more information about this event, call 928-649-4275, or email ollisv@yc.edu.

OLLI at Yavapai College provides enriching, academic, not-for-credit programs tailored for adults aged 50 and older. Led by a dedicated volunteer council, OLLI fosters a vibrant learning community that inspires curiosity, personal growth, and lifelong learning.
