Sedona News – The popular new musical dramedy, “The Dead Quilters Society,” will be performed at Mary D. Fisher Theatre on Saturday, March 29, and Sunday, March 30.  The curtain will rise at 7 pm on Saturday and at 4 pm on Sunday.

“We’re excited to partner with the Sedona International Film Festival to stage this great show in an amazing venue in Mary D. Fisher Theatre,” said Nate Meyers, Executive Director of the Sedona Historical Society and Sedona Heritage Museum.  The Sedona Historical Society is a producer of the musical.

“The Dead Quilters Society” tells the real stories of five women from Sedona’s history, and explores how their interwoven stories come together to create the fabric of our community.  The historical women whose stories will be told in this production are Marguerite Staude, Katie Lee, Annie Wauneka, Dora Chavez Madrid, and Fanny Gulick.  The original cast will return and reprise their roles: well known television actress Gail Edwards (Staude), Shondra Jepperson (Lee), Samantha Noelle (Wauneka), Dev Ross (Madrid), and Lisa Glinsky (Gulick).  Reno and Sheila McCormick will provide musical accompaniment.

The script was written by Dev Ross.  Original music was written by Shondra Jepperson.  These performances of “The Dead Quilters Society” are made possible with generous support from L & M Sky Fund.

Tickets are $35 each, and available online at https://sedonafilmfestival.com/event/the-dead-quilters-society/.

The Sedona Historical Society operates the Sedona Heritage Museum located in Jordan Historical Park, 735 Jordan Road in Uptown Sedona, Arizona.  Open daily 11 am – 3 pm.  For more information call 928-282-7038 or visit www.sedonamuseum.org.
