    logo_SIFFSedona AZ (March 1, 2013) – Mayan Grand Elder Alejandro Perez Oxlaj, Wandering Wolf – “tata”, Chief Phil Lane, Jr., Grandmother Elizabeth Araujo, all are Mayan Elders who share their knowledge and wisdom from the stage at the Sedona Performing Arts Center at the Sedona International Film Festival. Executive Producer Stephen Michael Copeland and producer Daniel Maddux are also on hand for the question and answer session following the screening. What is our future on earth, what is our past, and where are we now are all questions addressed by this highly enlightened group.

    If you recently moved to Sedona, you may notice that every four years, residents vote on something called Home Rule. The July 21 vote is simply about who controls Sedona’s city budget.

    Home Rule allows the city government, Staff with limitations, and Council to spend any money they have on any project they want without regard to voter input.
