    Sedona Fire District Responds to
    Liquid Propane Gas Explosion

    logo_sedonafiredistrictSedona AZ (November 21, 2016) – On Friday, November 18, 2016, at approximately 10:45 am, the Sedona Fire District (SFD) responded to a reported structure fire at the 9000 block of North State Route 89A located in Oak Creek Canyon. The fire was out on arrival. One individual was flown to Maricopa County Burn Center by air ambulance as a result of sustaining burns injuries. A second individual was transported to Sedona Emergency Center by SFD ground ambulance.

    20161121_sedonafireThe preliminary investigation indicated the fire was a result of a liquid propane gas explosion. The fire is under investigation with the building expected to be a total loss.
