“A Father’s Promise” is an inspirational journey of the remarkable resilience and humanity of Mark, his family and Sandy Hook Promise as they successfully create non-political, solutions-based programs to address the epidemic of gun violence in this country. Becoming a leading gun violence prevention activist that has saved thousands of lives while taking on the powerful gun lobby and succeeding, Mark inspires Presidents, Congress, Governors, schools, students, and parents.

After years of not playing music, he eventually finds that joy once again.

“A Father’s Promise” will be shown at the Alice Gill-Sheldon Theatre Jan. 5-11. Showtimes will be Friday and Sunday, Jan. 5 and 7 at 3:30 p.m.; and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 9, 10 and 11 at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $12, or $9 for Film Festival members. For tickets and more information, please call 928-282-1177. Both the theatre and film festival office are located at 2030 W. Hwy. 89A, in West Sedona. For more information, visit: www.SedonaFilmFestival.org.
