    Scorpion Booster Club Brings Vegas to Sedona

    logo_scorpionSedona AZ (April 8, 2017) – The Scorpion Booster Club would like to invite the community to attend “Viva Las Vegas: Bringing Vegas to Sedona” on April 21st from 6-10pm at the Sedona Golf Resort located in the Village of Oak Creek at 35 Ridge Trail Drive 86351. The tickets are $50.00 each and will include appetizers, professional tables and dealers, $200.00 worth of gaming chips, and 2 LIVE ELVIS shows by Chance Tinder.

    If tickets are purchased prior to the event, the purchaser will receive an additional $50.00 worth of gaming chips. The Booster Club will have Silent Auction items available to bid on at the event.  There will be a “Biggest Winner” Gift Card Prize valued at over $1,000.00 to the person who wins the most the night of the fundraiser. FREE child care will be provided from 5:45pm-10:15pm the night of the event by the National Honor Society students of Red Rock High School at the Big Park School gym.  Tickets are available to purchase online at scorpionbooster.com, the HS front office, Weber’s IGA, Sterling Financial, and Empire West Title.

    Sedona Gift Shop

     The Scorpion Booster Club exists to support the Arts, Academics, and Athletics of the Red Rock High School and Junior High School.  The Club intends to do that with the $40,000 goal that they hope to raise at this fundraiser.  With these funds The Booster Club plans to purchase laptops and tablets for the students, music equipment, athletic equipment, and professional development classes for the teachers.     What Would I Change?

    What would I change if I could? You and I both know I can’t, but it’s a fun exercise anyway. I would have been less of a know-it-all on my spiritual journey. It seems to be a side-effect of the path. Spiritual folks develop an all-knowing buffer to protect against their inevitable surrender to the unknown, but understanding that now didn’t make it gentler on me or those I loved, let alone those that I deemed not capable of getting it 😉 Yeah … I’d have dropped the spiritual snob act. I’d have recognized that spiritual radicals are only different on the outside from radical right Christians, and that the surface doesn’t really matter as much as I thought. We are all doing our couldn’t be otherwise things, playing our perfect roles. I’d have learned to bow down humbly before my fellow man, regardless of whether I agreed with him or not. We’re all in this together and not one of us will get out alive. Read more→
