    City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (July 10, 2015) – Sedona City Hall is currently featuring the beautiful paintings created by 20 members of the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society (NAWS). This varied and expansive spring exhibit has now been extended through the end of September.

    The Northern Arizona Watercolor Society was founded to create, foster and sustain interest in the art of water media painting and is dedicated to promoting watercolor painting throughout Arizona. NAWS sponsor educational programs at the monthly meetings, plus workshops, both of which are available to the general public.

    20150710_Proud-PapaNAWS has an extensive library for members. It sponsors exhibitions for members, which are juried by nationally known artists. Also, available for educational purposes are critique groups and plein-air painting events.

    Sedona Gift Shop

    In addition to providing educational opportunities for members, NAWS supports the development of young artists in northern Arizona through an annual Student Art Show. NAWS also contributes scholarships funds to assist students with commitment to the arts.

    The Bloody Machine

    What is a life anyway? A single “life?” Is it nothing more than a collection of emotions and thoughts, reverberating pain and pleasure, hopes, dreams and fear? Are we merely meat; flesh and blood creations encapsulating what we believe is a soul? Or is a single life the microcosm and macrocosm of human life on earth, each one of us a unique representation of who we believe we are and the whole of humanity at once? We are born. We grow old. We die. Everything we experience is but a dream between those two points. Or are we manifestations of a Divine Creator, every one of us complete in the image that we were made? So, we are told.
