VERDE VALLEY, Ariz. – Northern Arizona Healthcare (NAH) announced that Larry Smith, PA-C, has joined the Orthopedic and Spine Institute (OSI) in Cottonwood at Verde Valley Medical Center (VVMC). Larry will be collaborating with Richard Holt, DO, a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who specializes in comprehensive pain management; orthopedic and musculoskeletal disorders; movement and neurologic disorders; and intensive rehabilitation and recovery following many types of injuries and accidents. Larry will also be joining NAH OSI physicians, Brian Duggan, MD, and Adam Schneider, MD, as well as two physician assistants.

“We are so pleased to welcome Larry to the OSI team at VVMC,” said Matt Kraemer, administrator for the NAH Orthopedic and Spine Institute. “He is a trusted, talented provider who brings extensive expertise in health care. We want the community to have the very best in orthopedic care, and the addition of another OSI provider will build on NAH’s commitment of delivering exceptional specialty care close to home for Verde Valley residents,” Kraemer added.

Smith, who has over 30 years of experience in health care, specializes in interventional pain management. He believes every patient deserves to be treated with kindness, empathy and respect. Smith is dedicated to providing the highest quality medical care by listening actively to concerns and answering questions, so he can empower his patients to take an active role in understanding and making informed decisions about their care.

Smith earned his physician assistant degree and bachelor’s degree in medical science from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and the Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. The university is now known as Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences. He is board certified by the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.

The orthopedic care team at OSI Cottonwood consists of a partnership between specially trained physicians, nurses, therapists, care coordinators and technicians, all of whom are prepared to provide the best possible care for every patient. OSI Cottonwood is located at 340 S. Willard St. To book an appointment, please call 800-656-7880.
