“This is an opportunity for women business owners to support other women in our communities,” said NAWBO President Laura Schappert of Sedona. “The Board is so excited to see the fabulous proposals that come forward to support women, and particularly entrepreneurial women that may need a boost. We think our non-profit community can bring us some dynamic ideas to make things happen.”

Organizations wishing to be considered as a NAWBO Sedona – Verde Valley Non-Profit Grant recipient must be a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, a collaboration of nonprofit partners, or a community or corporate foundation.

The Non-Profit Grant recipient will receive a $500 cash award to use in programs, as well as the opportunity to communicate with NAWBO members.

The Non-Profit Grant was awarded in 2015 to The Sedona Women for its Scholarship Program, assisting women returning to school after their education has been interrupted.

An application is available by emailing the organization at info@nawbosvv.org and applications are due by March 26th by email or to NAWBO Sedona Verde Valley, P.O. Box 3914, Sedona, AZ 86340.

The mission of the Sedona – Verde Valley Chapter of NAWBO is to promote the excellence of their members, thereby strengthening their businesses and the vitality of the Northern Arizona economy; connect independent, vibrant business owners locally, regionally, nationally and globally; stimulate their members’ business potential through education, training and mentoring.

During this precious part of the journey, it feels like you are taking the steps, are choosing right, left or straight ahead, that you are in the game.
