    logo_sedonacameraclubSedona AZ (October 14, 2015) – Commercial lifestyle and destination wedding photographer Lear Miller will dive into the world of commercial lifestyle and outdoor environmental portraits from 6-9 p.m. Monday, October 26th at the United Methodist Church, 110 Indian Cliffs Rd., in Sedona. The presentation is hosted by the Sedona Camera Club.

    The mini-workshop will walk through Miller’s latest tourism shoot for OH Advertising and the City of Sedona. From location scouting and directing to lens choices and lighting, this workshop is a great overview of capturing outdoor lifestyle portraiture at a commercial level.

    Miller is a Commercial Lifestyle and Destination Wedding photographer, specializing in adventure and environmental portraiture.

    Having lived in the southwest his whole life, Miller knows the bright difficult light and how to work with it any time of day to create flattering portraits.  When not shooting, Miller can be found traveling the world seeking adrenaline or racing his mountain bike. 

    The presentations, hosted by the Sedona Camera Club, are free. Local photographers are encouraged to join to support bringing high-quality speakers to promote interest in photography and develop photographic skills.     No Legal Traction on OHVs

    In the upcoming fight between the city and companies that rent Off Highway Vehicles, the city is going to lose. Simply put, the city has no jurisdiction over state-owned highways. Period. It can manage its own streets and pass ordinances to promote public safety on them, but it can do nada to ban OHVs on S.R.179 or S.R. 89A. Who remembers the fight over dark skies and the light poles on S.R.89A? ADOT had its way no matter how hard the opponents fought. It’s the same here. Can one really believe that Polaris, with outlets across the country, would allow a precedent to be set where municipalities can ban OHVs on state-owned highways that run through their cities? The answer is a resounding “hell no.” Read more→
