City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (May 21, 2015) – The Sedona Police Department will be deploying personnel throughout the Memorial Day weekend to provide traffic control management on State Route 89A in the Uptown area.  The traffic control details will primarily take place on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.  Police personnel will be focusing on facilitating smoother traffic flows between Forest Road and the mid-block traffic signal north of Jordan Road.

While police personnel will be doing what is possible to improve traffic flows, the number of vehicles on the roadway along with the volume of pedestrian activity may still cause periods of traffic delays and congestion.  The Sedona Police Department appreciates the patience and understanding of our residents, businesses, and visitors as we work together in making our community a safe and enjoyable place to experience.

Regardless if one sees January 6 as a full-scale riot/insurrection or simply patriotic Americans demonstrating as is their right, the fact is the individuals involved went against a symbol, and this could not be allowed or go unpunished.
