    Sedona AZ (September 4, 2015) –

Drazi’s Story – Intake date of January 2015

20150904_HSS_draziMy name is Drazi and this is my story. I came into the shelter as a stray in January of this year.  I am a very handsome, neutered male, Domesticated Short Hair Cat. I am 5 years old and I am a sweet young man that likes to interact with my human companions and show them my affection.  I am FIV+ cat meaning I need to be the only cat in your home or I can live in a home where another FIV+ cat presently lives.

I have been told that I am a handsome and loving boy who is excellent at showing affection and love. I am sugary sweet!  I am considered the ultimate lover boy!

I am handsome and have soulful eyes and enjoy human interaction although . . . just like a cat . . . I love my naps.

Allie’s Story – Intake date of November 2014

20150904_HSS_allieMy name is Allie and this is my story. I am a 2 year old spayed female of the Spaniel variety. I am not totally sure of my lineage but whatever my mixed breed heritage is . . .  I make for a big girl at 65 lbs.  I was transferred from another shelter in November of 2014 and would like to find my forever home.  I need a human to love on a daily basis. I have so much love to share . . . Can I give you my love?  I would like a real human family to love.

I adore going for walks and hikes (I need the exercise), am very sociable with people and would do best with an exercise enthusiast as I like to work out and stay in shape. I am told that I am a beautiful, strong and very smart girl. I am currently in dog training class and I love learning! Please call the shelter for an appointment to meet with me. I would love to meet you!

    The Bloody Machine
    By Tommy Acosta
What is a life anyway? A single “life?” Is it nothing more than a collection of emotions and thoughts, reverberating pain and pleasure, hopes, dreams and fear? Are we merely meat; flesh and blood creations encapsulating what we believe is a soul? Or is a single life the microcosm and macrocosm of human life on earth, each one of us a unique representation of who we believe we are and the whole of humanity at once? We are born. We grow old. We die. Everything we experience is but a dream between those two points. Or are we manifestations of a Divine Creator, every one of us complete in the image that we were made? So, we are told.
