    Google Tools Classes offered at Camp Verde Community Library

    Verde Valley News – Computer/Technology Classes return to Camp Verde Community Library, this time focusing on Google Tools.  Classes take place on two Saturdays, December 2nd & 9th in 4 separate sessions, starting at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. with each class focusing on 2 Google products. Classes will be taught using the Digital Learn platform. You may use one of our laptops or Chromebooks or bring your own device. Registration for classes is encouraged, You will need to register for each class you wish to attend. Registration is limited to 15 people.

    The classes are as follows:

    Sedona Gift Shop

    • December 2- 11:00 am – 12:00 pm: Intro to Google Tools / Google Drive
    • December 2- 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Gmail Basics / Google Calendar
    • December 9- 11:00 am – 12: 00 pm: Google Drive / Google Chrome
    • December 9- 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm: Google Docs / Google Sheets

    Camp Verde Community Library is located just off of Montezuma Castle Highway at 130 Black Bridge Road, Camp Verde AZ.     Compassionate Sedona?

    Sedona is known throughout the world as a spiritual destination point where the land and those who live upon it march to the beat of a different drummer. Compassion. Love. Inclusivity and enlightenment are pillars upon which this community is sustained. Yet, something happened a few days ago that made me question if this is really true. I was at dinner at a local restaurant with a fellow community resident, whom I had always thought to be one of the most compassionate people in Sedona. Quite off-handedly my friend asked me how I felt about a city plan to provide safe parking for people who work in Sedona but have to live in their vehicles because they cannot afford the rent to live here, or even in Cottonwood. I said I thought it was a great idea and my friend’s expression went from calmness to shock. “I can’t believe you are telling me that with a straight face,” he gasped, as he dropped his fork on the table. “Do you know what you are saying.” Read more→
