    Free ‘Leave No Trace’ workshop offered

    logo_USFS_USDAFlagstaff AZ (January 25, 2013) – The Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest, and the Arizona Natural History Association invite all community youth leaders to a free Leave No Trace workshop in February.

    Scheduled for Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Red Rock Ranger Station, 8375 State Route 179, Sedona, the workshop will train leaders in a fun and interactive way to promote outdoor ethics in youth programs. Leaders will leave with the confidence to initiate field-tested activities to use next time their group is outdoors.

    The workshop is geared toward youth leaders but is open to anyone interested in facilitating outdoor opportunities for children and teens. For more information and pre-registration contact Candice Mark at the Red Rock Ranger District at 928-203-2900.

    What is a life anyway? A single “life?” Is it nothing more than a collection of emotions and thoughts, reverberating pain and pleasure, hopes, dreams and fear? Are we merely meat; flesh and blood creations encapsulating what we believe is a soul? Or is a single life the microcosm and macrocosm of human life on earth, each one of us a unique representation of who we believe we are and the whole of humanity at once? We are born. We grow old.
