Arizona State ParksCamp Verde AZ (March 14, 2018) – Arizona State Parks and Trails is hosting the sixth annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day, held in the Verde Valley and Northern Arizona. Six years ago, the US Senate officially declared March 30 as “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day.”

Recognizing “Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day” is a gesture of acceptance, gratitude and honor to the members of our community who risked their lives to serve our country during the Vietnam War – this includes the veterans and their families.

The event kicks off with an honor ride through Sedona, Cottonwood, and Clarkdale, returning through Cottonwood and ending at Fort Verde State Historic Park in Camp Verde.  A full color guard will open the festivities at the park at 1 p.m. and lower the flag to close the event at 3 p.m.The event will include entertainment, food and Veteran’s informational booths.
