City of Sedona ArizonaSedona AZ (June 6, 2014) – The cool of the pool, the light from the stars and a family-friendly movie all for you!  Come to the Sedona Community Pool to enjoy a film while floating in the water.  What could be more fun on a hot summer night? The first of two movies will be on Friday, June 27, 2014 and features Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.  Tickets go on sale Monday, June 16 at the Sedona Community Pool.

It has been quite some time since an outdoor movie was shown at the community pool so now is the time to bring them back.  Arrive by 7 p.m. to enjoy swimming and yummy food from the concession stand.  The movie begins at dark, approximately 7:45 p.m.  A large inflatable screen will be visible from the pool or deck.

    Sedona Gift Shop

The cost is $2 per person and is limited to the first 300 people through the gate.  Please bring your own rafts.  Non-swimmers must wear a life jacket and be accompanied by an adult in the water.

The Sedona Community Pool is located at 570 Posse Ground Road in Posse Grounds Park.  For questions, please contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 282-7098.

In this essay I would love to jump into the shoes of Curtis Sliwa, a former New York City vigilante who founded the Guardian Angels and is now running as a Republican for mayor of his city.
