    Sedona Winefest 2013 on September 28 and 29 to Feature Arizona Wines, Juried Art, Wine Education, Food and Music.

    logo_sedonawinefest2013Sedona AZ (August 31, 2013) – The Fifth Annual Sedona Winefest will be held on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Sedona Airport Vista. The winefest is designed to awake the senses with a variety of fine wines from many of the wineries in Arizona, but with special emphasis on wines from Prescott and Verde Valley area. The event also includes tasty Sedona cuisine from local restaurants, delightful music by talented musicians, and a variety of wine-oriented and art vendors, a juried art exhibition, and an exclusive premium wines area.

    General admission tickets are available online at SedonaWinefest.com at the early bird rate of $20.00 and $15.00 for seniors and Veterans, and at the door for $25.00 and $20.00. The general admission includes an etched commemorative glass and six tasting tickets. The VIP Premium tasting room is offering samplings of premium Arizona wines. The Early bird pricing online for the Premium tasting area is $40.00. These tickets are limited in number. At the door, Premium tickets are $45.00, if still available. Each admission includes a stemmed, etched commemorative glass and eight tasting tickets.

    20130831_Poster,600pxThe Sedona Winefest weekend will delight experienced and novice wine connoisseurs with wine education presentations by experts in the industry on how wine is made, how to recognize the different wine blends, why the grapes grown in Arizona create high quality wines, etc.

    Saturday evening in the main tent Red Earth Theatre presents Crushes and Bouquets–The Wine show. This is a live performance of a blended collage of words about wine and life from across the cultures and through the ages. Tickets are available at sedonawinefest.com.

    The Premium Tasting Area serves the most exclusive Arizona wines. Its popularity has encouraged the winefest organizers in 2013 to expand the Premium tasting room to accommodate more patrons, which includes a new outdoor seating area. The Premium wines are not poured in the general admission area and are top tier wines of Arizona, Some offered only to the patrons attending the Sedona Winefest. In addition to the tastings, the wineries will be offering wine by the glass, bottle or case and extra tasting tickets will also be available.

    20130831_Winefest12ArtThe Juried Art Exhibition has also been expanded. This year’s entries include two dimensional and three dimensional art as well as photography. Winners can earn cash prizes, and most entries are available for purchase at the event. Artists wishing to be considered can download entry forms on the Sedona Winefest website; SedonaWinfest.com.

    The winefest features a line up of delicious and inviting foods to complement the wines from four different Sedona area restaurants Kens Creekside, Mesa Grill, T. Carl’s, Andiamo Pizza. Throughout the tasting area there are also displays of goods and services from local area vendors ranging from corkscrews to helicopter trips. There will also be an opportunity to win prizes at a raffle held hourly.

    20130831_PremiumWneDrinkersBThe Sedona Winefest has become a fall tradition in Sedona, celebrating the burgeoning Arizona wine industry, and has grown from an attendance of 700 in 2009, when it was a part of the Sedona Community Fair, to over 2,500 guests in 2012. The wine industry in Arizona has blossomed to produce award winning wines and experience robust growth in the industry.
