logo_elportalsedonaSedona AZ (August 2, 2016) – El Portal Sedona Hotel, located in the heart of the city, continues its tradition of welcoming all four-legged friends to its unique lodging experience with the announcement of a August Pet Photo contest and a Sedona Getaway to the winners!

Why are they doing this? Because El Portal believes in pet ownership and not leaving pets at home when traveling! El Portal Sedona Hotel wants its guests to feel at home while on vacation and that’s why Innkeepers, Steve and Connie Segner, decided early on that El Portal would be a memorable destination for both guests and their pets. Owner Steve Segner says, “We actually want all our guests to have a ‘non-hotel’ kind of experience, where they can meet other guests and locals for a true Sedona experience.”  The boutique hotel welcomes four legged guests with a blanket, treats and doggie bags. It is located on the banks of Oak Creek, perfect for morning walks and evening strolls. With a commitment to providing an upscale inn with unpretentious luxury, complete with the best amenities and personalized concierge services for the Sedona area, El Portal, was named the Best Pet Friendly Hotel in the USA by 10Best.com and USA Today Travel.

By submitting posts of funny, adorable, and cute pet photos or videos through the hotel’s social media channels: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram, and “Liking” or “Sharing” their entries, pet owners are invited to participate to win a two-night stay at El Portal Sedona Hotel, a pet spa treatment, a $50 food credit, AND two-2 hour jeep tour adventures to experience the beautiful red rock sights and sounds unique to Sedona’s breathtaking beauty! The Pet Photo Contest is open to entries from August 1, 2016 until 5pm on August 31, 2016. Second place winner will receive one free night at El Portal, $25 food credit, and two-2 hour jeep tour adventure. Third place winner will win one free night at El Portal and $25 food credit. (Only 1 (one) photo/post per pet per person and/or family).
