Business As Usual or Heartless: City of Sedona

Sedona, AZ – (July 18, 2013)  “There weren’t any commissions eliminated, they were restructured”, says Councilor Barbara Litrell. Some say it looks like every commission was dissolved and city staff will now run any commissions in the future which may be formed for specific tasks. What seems to be missing is compassion for all the Sedona citizens who gave selflessly to their community. Is there room in Sedona City government for compassion?

What also seems to be missing in the “restructuring” is the requirement to follow Arizona’s Open Meeting Laws. More disclosure and public input is needed in Sedona, not less.
