Sedona AZ (October 8, 2017) – At 6:16 Sunday morning, October 8, Sedona Fire District firefighters responded to a trash can fire at 570 Posse Ground Rd which is the location of West Sedona School. By Ted Grussing… to the mountains this weekend … this is a shot I took Thursday morning and it is of the NE portion of the San Francisco Peaks looking across to Kendrick Peak right of center about fifteen miles out. Lockett meadow should be near Peak Color, the north side of the peaks sure are there and likely the west side too. It was one of my quickest flybys of the inner basin ever with an indicated air speed of about 65 kts and a ground track of about 120 kts … yep the winds were about twice predicted at altitude…
