Lee Pasture Rd on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at approximately 8:30 am.  The crews arrived to find a small grass fire. Crews were able to control and quickly extinguish the fire before spreading further. The fire started from a lawn mower.  Crews were on scene for approximately one hour.Assisting VVFD was Cottonwood Fire Medical Department. You go through the initial shoot after you get them, get rid of the shots that you consider not worthy of saving and then those that remain are nicely keyworded and filed. Cornville AZ (May 10, 2018) – The Verde Valley Fire District responded to a report of a structure fire on the 2500 block of S. Hillert Drive on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at approximately 7:15 am.  The crews arrived to find a detached 2 story shed involved approximately 50%. Crews went into an offensive mode and were able to make a quick attack on the fire preventing further damage.

Yavapai County Sheriff enforcement effort funded by GOHSVerde Valley AZ (May 10, 2018) – In an effort to save more lives on Arizona roadways, the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety is joining the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and our local law enforcement partners to enforce Arizona’s seat belt and child safety seat laws.  The enforcement effort will run from May 21 through June 3, 2018.Arizona has a secondary seat belt law that allows officers to only issue citations for violations during traffic stops for other violations.  However, Arizona’s child restraint law is a primary enforcement measure under which officers can…
